Market Day - 16 March
Market Day Thursday 16 March 2017, Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock
Bookings are now closed.
This day will resemble the already successful Emporium format, allowing artists and venues to promote and programme existing work which is available for touring within the next 6-12 months. It includes a range of networking and promotional opportunities including Open Exchange and scheduled face-to-face sessions with the companies, promoters and venues of your choice.
Bookings are now closed. We will shortly send all Market Day attendees the delegate list for them to make their selections for the face to face sessions.
What is Market Day?
Market Day is an opportunity to promote your shows and for venues/promoters to book shows available for touring. Each attendee will be sent a list of delegates before the event and will be able to choose the people they would like to meet during face-to-face sessions (up to 7-8 per person, depending on availability).
Additionally there will be an Open Exchange session which will allow you to promote your show or venue to all the attendees. There will be opportunity for informal networking at lunchtime and at the end of day drinks.
Every attendee will receive a delegate pack with information on all the available productions and venues and relevant contact details.
What previous Market Day attendees said:
‘Face to face meetings! We met LOADS of new artists and venues at Emporium whom we hope to work with. I think come 2017's Emporium - as we have now attended two years running - we will be able to illustrate how Emporium has actively and positively changed how, where and who we programme - incredibly exciting for our small organisation.’ Jen White, Festival & Projects Manager, Puppet Animation Scotland
‘It was a fantastic way of getting people to talk to each other and took the awkwardness out of networking. The face to face format was relaxed, informal and productive. It allowed for an open and honest dialogue.’ Louise Allan, Mischief La-Bas
