APA invite script submissions for Climate Action Scratch Night

Aberdeen Performing Arts are seeking script submissions for their next Scratch Night on Tuesday 20 March 2018. The Scratch Night will be part of their programme of events in Climate Action Week and they are inviting submissions of short scripts, spoken word or new music, all inspired by climate action.

Submissions are welcomed from across Scotland, the UK and internationally. Scripts will be chosen primarily based on quality and relevance to the theme but priority will be given to writers from the North-East of Scotland, in line with APA’s aim to support local artists. If you are a local artist please highlight this in your email application.

Scripts must be no longer than 10 minutes long and written for between one and three characters. If you are a spoken word artist or an up and coming musician or comedian, please submit samples of the work you are interested in performing. Chosen scripts will be rehearsed in the day and performed on the evening of the 20 March at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm, Monday 26 February. For full event information visit the APA website and to submit a script contact Kirsty.bailey@aberdeenperformingarts.com.
