The Scottish Government has announced the following:
“On Tuesday, 16 November, the First Minister confirmed there would be no immediate changes to the current Covid regulations in place in a statement to parliament.
The possibility of future changes to the Covid Certification Scheme is currently being considered. The First Minister said the kinds of settings that might be in scope would be indoor cinemas, theatres, and some other licensed and hospitality premises. Consideration is also being given to amending the scheme so that, in addition to showing evidence of vaccination to access a venue, there will also be the option of providing evidence of a recent negative test result.
A final decision will be made next Tuesday (23 November) and any changes to the scheme would take effect from 6 December. Parliament will have the opportunity to discuss and debate any amendments. An evidence paper will be published this week and consultation with businesses on the practicalities of implementation should changes be made will also take place.”
Following meetings this week and last, FST continues to consult with colleagues at the Scottish Government to discuss the impact of changes in regulations on those working in dance, theatre and opera in Scotland.
