As Scotland’s membership organisation and sector support body for the performing arts, we’re undergoing an exciting transformation. Following a restructure in early 2024, we’re seeking a passionate, skilled and dedicated new staff team to join us as we support and champion the performing arts in Scotland. This is a time of immense challenge, change, renewal, and opportunity. Working with FST, you’ll play a vital role in the future of this essential part of the cultural sector.

Advocacy Lead

With the CEO, the Advocacy Lead will develop and implement a comprehensive advocacy plan to raise the profile of Scottish theatre, dance, and opera, ensure the needs of the sector are effectively communicated to decision-makers, and drive the progression of the plan to have a demonstrable and positive impact on the sector’s visibility, value, and resources.

They will work across five key areas:

  • Research and policy development
  • Stakeholder and member engagement
  • Advocacy planning and activity
  • Strategy development and implementation
  • External communications

Change Programmes Lead

The Change Programmes Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring FST achieves its strategic objective of amplifying our impact by developing more innovative and effective ways to drive change for people in the sector.   

They will work across four key areas:   

  • Policies and planning  
  • Professional and sector development  
  • Projects  
  • Partnerships  

Digital Marketing Co-ordinator

The Digital Marketing Co-ordinator will co-design, coordinate and implement the execution of clear and impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels in support of the main areas of FST’s mission: advocacy, connection, and change.

They will work across three key areas:

  • Planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Marketing and communications
  • Project management

Membership and Networks Lead

The Membership and Networks Lead will play a vital part in improving the diversity and enhancing the participation of FST’s members through the transformation of our membership model and the ways members connect and engage with FST and with one another.

They will work across four key areas: 

  • Membership development strategy 
  • Services and benefits 
  • Networks and events 
  • Communications and relationship management 

Operations and Finance Co-ordinator

The Operations & Finance Co-ordinator will ensure the smooth functioning and financial well-being of FST. Through co-ordinating and providing comprehensive administrative, operational, and financial support, the post holder will ensure that FST operates efficiently, adheres to sound financial practices, and maintains its reputation as a responsible and financially prudent organisation.

They will work across three key areas:

  • Office and HR Management
  • Planning, finance, budgets, and reporting
  • Governance
