Join us for the next Members’ Meeting which will bring us to date with the Sector Strategy Development work led by Alice McGrath. Alice will share a short presentation of her main observations and recommendations, thus concluding this stage in the process. FST will then update you on our anticipated next steps.
As part of the Sector Strategy development, FST commissioned The Audience Agency to provide an overview of the performing arts in Scotland pre-COVID, including data from a majority of FST members and other contributing organisations. Anne Torregiani, Chief Executive, and Oliver Mantell Director of Evidence & Insight from the Audience Agency, will give a presentation on what they discovered, as well as contributing other insights about audience behaviour and recovery from the pandemic.
We'll conclude the meeting with a panel discussion between members who, like many of us, have experienced significant change during the last two years. Rebecca Atkinson-Lord (Mull Theatre & An Tobar), Isabel Moura Mendes (Dance Base), Robbie Gordon (Wonderfools) will share their personal experiences - what they've discovered, what they've achieved, what's been a challenge and how they might approach dealing with change in the future.
Unfortunately, Creative Scotland are unable to attend the meeting but will provide information from the rounds of Emergency Funding. We'll also tell you about the latest work of FST including advocacy.
A seperate meeting of individual members' check-in during the afternoon will be facilitated by Kate Nelson, FST board member and freelance director, and include a visit from Rachael Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Creative Entrepreneurs Club, talking about their new development programme, Creative Ambitions.
Become a Mentor – deadline extended to 8 April
We have extended the deadline to apply to become a Mentor on FST’s Mentoring Programme. Led by Andonella Thomson, this programme is a great opportunity to improve your own leadership and management skills, while helping others in the performing arts sector.
