Led by Adam Adnyana (Equity National Official Scotland), this free, online session is aimed at providing an introduction to Equity. It is open to everyone but it will be of particular value to those producers, companies or venues who engage performers and cerative practitioners but currently do not have an Equity agreement in place.
Equity is a trade union of more than 47,000 performers and creative practitioners across the UK. Equity staff are based in Scotland and the union has a member elected Scottish National Committee.
Equity agreements are in place across live performance and recorded media workplaces across Scotland, and we believe these agreements improve the working lives of our members.
This session aims to:
- Provide an introduction to Equity
- Raise awareness on Equity agreements currently in place in subsidised, commercial and independent theatre.
- Explain and promote the option of Equity House Agreements to producers, companies and venues in Scotland
- Explore the link between Equity agreements, Fair Work and professionalism in the creative industries sector
There will be time at the end of the session for any questions you might have.
If you have any access requirements or questions about the session please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
