Have you taken the Mental Health First Aid or SAMH course but aren’t feeling confident putting it into place in your workplace? Would you like the opportunity to ask questions of a certified Mental Health First Aid trainer?
Have you taken the training, been the appointed to be a Mental Health First Aider and would like to swap notes with others who have been doing the same?
If so, then please join us to discuss practicalities of mental health first aiding and what support might be needed from FST, for those navigating that role.
This session will be facilitated by Sarah Shimmen from Work Better Wellbeing, who is a certified and experienced trainer and has run all of the Mental Health First Aid and SAMH courses for FST and Fiona McCurdy, Professional Development Manager at FST, who has been a Mental Health First Aider since 2018.
Who is the session aimed at?
This Session is aimed at those who have undertaken the Mental Health First Aid or SAMH qualifications with FST.
During this session we will discuss the practicalities of using your Mental Health First Aid or SAMH qualification in the workplace.
We are aware that, for some people (due to Covid) there may have been a large gap between taking the course and coming back to the work place to put it into practice, so we wanted to run this session to share notes with those who have put the training to use and also ascertain what support is needed for those who are struggling to get off the ground.
There will be time throughout the session for any questions you might have.
If you have any access requirements or questions about the session please contact fiona.mccurdy@scottishtheatre.org
