This is an in-person event over three days at the Lyceum Theatre, as part of the FST Summer School Technical training week. Please be aware that this course is eligible for the Euan Turner Training Fund, this will cover 50-80% of the course fees and is eligible for non-members.
IOSH Managing Safely is a course designed by the Institution for Occupational Health and Safety - Europe’s largest occupational health and safety body. The course aims to give attendees all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams and workplaces. This session is run by Chris Connor of Grow Training who has sector specific Health and Safety experience.
Over 7 modules, the course covers all the main health and safety issues. Successful completion of the course, passing a multi-choice assessment paper and a workplace-based project, leads to a nationally recognised qualification in the basics of managing health and safety.
Outline
Over 7 modules, the course covers all the main health and safety issues, concentrating on dealing with workplace hazards and carrying out risk assessments. The course also emphasises to delegates the importance of having a positive H&S culture throughout the business with leadership from the top being key to achieving a safe working environment.
