We need your help – funding for culture!
FST is preparing a third submission to the Scottish Parliament’s Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee’s call for views on funding for culture.
This is ahead of the Budget for 2024-25. The inquiry follows on from the Committee’s previous pre-budget scrutiny for 2022-23 and 2023-24.
The Committee wants to hear from individuals, groups and businesses operating within the culture sector. These views help the Committee to make recommendations to the Scottish Government ahead of its Budget for 2024-25.
Join us at one of two information-sharing sessions on 27 July at 5.15pm – 6.30pm on Zoom, to discuss the issues with colleagues and put your views forward for inclusion in FST’s submission. If you would instead like to register for the other session on 27 Jul at 12.45pm - 2.00pm, click here. Both sessions are open to FST members and non-members.
Alternatively, you can send any information you would like included by email to harry.mould@scottishtheatre.org
Or you can submit your views directly to the Committee here: Budget Scrutiny 2024-25: Funding for Culture - Scottish Parliament - Citizen Space
You can view FST’s previous submissions to the inquiry on our website:
The call for views closes on Friday 18 August.
