Production: The Ballad of Ewan MacColl
The Role
Knights Theatre are looking for an Associate Producer to work on the premiere of The Ballad of Ewan MacColl, a new play by Matthew Knights. The work will be presented at Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh, Cumbernauld Theatre and Aberdeen Lemon Tree between 1-14 May 2027 supported by Creative Scotland.
We are looking for an Associate Producer who can help the company deliver this exciting production with the potential for the applicant to form a relationship with the company for future productions and tours.
You will have previous professional theatre producing experience and as part of this work would work closely with the Artistic Director / Executive Producer to co-manage the production.
We are looking for a producer based in Scotland and accommodation and travel expenses will be provided for the role. Although some of the role may be carried out remotely there would be an expectation for in person attendance at selected points to be agreed during the production.
Contract Terms: Freelance contract (1 November 2026 – 31 May 2027)
Salary: £6,000 for 30 days at £200 per day
