Board Member Vacancies (x2) – Stellar Quines

The Board of Stellar Quines is currently seeking two new Board Members.

Stellar Quines is an intersectional feminist theatre company based in Scotland. Would you like to support us to create shows, engage communities and develop creatives, all with the aim of achieving greater equality?

Lived experience enhances what you can bring to our Board and we welcome applications from people from a range of backgrounds with a cross-section of skills, experiences and stories.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As we enter our 30th year, we are particularly looking for a person with the skills and experience to support our fundraising and philanthropic work as we launch a new donor scheme.

We are currently working on a variety of shows and projects including Disciples, a devised piece by five D/deaf or Disabled artists exploring stories that are too often ignored in theatre and dance. We are also developing a play set on a Council Estate in Hamilton which will tour in 2024. In our engagement work, we are embarking on our fourth year of working with a group of Muslim women writers in Glasgow to develop their stories. And our Young Quines youth theatre groups in Fife continues to thrive. In order to strengthen our work and support our development, we would love to receive Board applications from people who share any similar stories and experiences.

If you have a love of culture, are excited by the possibilities theatre presents and are motivated to challenge gender inequality, it would be great to hear from you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Board meets four times a year, with an additional strategy day in November. The time commitment would be about 10-12 days a year.

Download an application information pack from our website for full details about the role and how to apply. Deadline for applications: Thursday 30 March 2023 at midday.

We’ll also be running a Zoom drop-in on Wednesday 15 March 2023 at 6pm for anyone who’s interested in hearing more about the role. Please email barbie@stellarquines.co.uk for the link.
