This role is a rare opportunity for an emerging leader in the dance sector. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll be responsible for ensuring DanceBase’s beautiful Edinburgh Centre is a home for dancers and dance lovers from all backgrounds and is an asset for the organisation and dance in Scotland.
This includes the delivery of face to face and online classes in a wide variety of dance styles, supporting our award-winning Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme and developing new year-round performance opportunities in the building. You’ll also be responsible for generating income through appropriate commercial hires and other partnerships.
As a member of our senior team you’ll help set the direction for the organisation, reimaging our role in supporting dance and dance artists in Scotland and making sure that our public, professional and engagement activity all works together as an effective whole.
As a senior representative of the organisation you’ll be expected to represent Dance Base and advocate for Scotland’s dance sector.
We particularly encourage people from underrepresented communities to apply, including but not limited to disabled people, those who are D/deaf, Black/+ People of Colour, those from minority ethnic communities, those who are part of the LGBT+ community, and all those who feel their voices are not commonly represented.
