Creative Change Maker – Inclusion & Relevance
Creative Change Maker: Inclusion and Relevance is a new role within our Creative Engagement Team at a pivotal time for Aberdeen Performing Arts and the North-east as we recover, rebuild and re-imagine in a post pandemic world. We believe in arts without boundaries and therefore seeking a creative individual, who will lead on improvement and development of our commitment to equalities, diversity and inclusion within our organisation and in the way we connect with our audiences, ensuring our offering is relevant and reflects our diverse community. In this role you’ll develop imaginative and inclusive ways of working that connect communities, artists and venues, and that create pathways to arts creation, engagement and participation.
As a champion for equality, diversity and inclusion, you’ll be creative, a natural influencer, perhaps a grass-roots activist or artist, who can help us better address how we engage with relevance to the wider community and help develop our commitment to inclusion within our organisation.
You will have a deep understanding of the value of implementing change, effective in challenging the status quo, and do so in a way that is successful, positive and engaging. Professional qualifications are less important to us than your approach to creative ways to work with local communities and us an an organisation and as individuals. You’ll have experience in devising initiatives which address issues of inclusion and relevance, delivering meaningful and high-quality solutions. You will have a love of the arts, understanding the power of the arts to impact positive change.
You’ll be a natural communicator, working as an influencer at all levels, with a high level of emotional intelligence and a flexible and pragmatic approach.
