Capital Theatres is looking for a new Creative Engagement Coordinator to develop, deliver and evaluate projects with, and for, the Dementia Friendly Community throughout productions, events, activities and training, to help embed dementia-friendly practice across our venues, raise the profile of and advocate for this work, and share our learnings and expertise with the wider industry.
Capital Theatres, based in Edinburgh, is Scotland’s largest independent theatres charity, staging over 650 performances across 150 shows each year in the Festival Theatre, the King’s Theatre and The Studio.
We are now seeking a Creative Engagement Coordinator to lead our nationally recognised work with people living with dementia. Reporting to the Head of Creative Engagement and responsible for managing freelance artists, sessional staff and volunteers, you will directly deliver creative activities and build meaningful relationships across the dementia-friendly community, its networks and stakeholders. You will provide training opportunities for staff across the organisation and identify further ways to create dementia enabled environment across our venues. You will represent Capital Theatres externally and contribute to cross-sectoral forums and partnerships at a local and national level to ensure our work stays at the forefront of best practices.
