All or Nothing

All or Nothing crosses the boundaries between the floor, the air and the space in between; merging aerial skills with dance theatre. Creating exciting and challenging performance, the aim is to produce work that engages, exhilarates and challenges whilst connecting with emotional intent.
The company has created several one-off performances for festivals and events, both indoor and outdoor. From Late Night Live at the National Museum Scotland to choreographing the abseiling launch of On Fife's Lochgelly Centre; from the Inside Out Theatre Festival in St.Andrews to a harness swing dance duet for the recent Citymoves-produced Dance Amazing in Aberdeen.
Their 2011 production of Uncharted Waters in collaboration with Strange Bird Zirkus was nominated for a Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and went on to tour Scotland to great acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
2013 sees the continuing development of a series of duets with fellow Edinburgh-based company Room 2 Manoeuvre. Entitled Sprawl, this piece is a dynamic, character-led dance theatre duet exploring themes of expansion. Suitable for outdoor and non-theatre spaces, Sprawl is available from 2013 onwards.
As well as our performance work, All or Nothing is key to the development of aerial dance in Scotland and is behind several new aerial dance initiatives happening in the country. These include mentoring, training and teaching opportunities with professional performers, students and community groups as well as running aerial skills classes throughout Scotland. They are currently developing a harness training programme for dancers and other professionals.
