Dance Base Scotland
Dance Base encourages and celebrates the potential for dance in everyone. As Scotland's National Centre for Dance, we offer a vibrant and uplifting focal point which reaches out and inspires well-being and creativity, and cultivates a future for dance in local, national and international communities.
Located in award-winning studios in Edinburgh's Grassmarket Dance Base engages 2500 people each week in dance related activity. Community dancers can choose from 120+ classes each week. Professional dancers can access daily classes, workshops and a full residency programme. Our Outreach programme works in the local community and reaches around 400 people every week.
Dance Base also runs a full programme of classes, workshops and performances of Scottish and international contemporary dance during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
