Tessa Gordziejko

I'm a producer, writer and theatre-maker based in Dumfries & Galloway. I have over 30 years experience in a range of roles, freelance and employed, including as Executive Director of Unlimited Theatre, Creative Producer for Imove Arts, Creative Programmer for London 2012; and for clients including Red Ladder Theatre Company, Slanjayvah Danza, Hype Dance, Displace Yourself Theatre, Theatre company Blah Blah Blah and Mind-The-Gap.

I have experience and can work at different levels of producing - as a line producer, executive producer and creative producer, in collaboration with creative teams from different disciplines. With an early career background in stage and production management, I can work comfortably with technical teams.

I have a particular passion for, and experience in : outdoor arts; circus; dance; audio-enabled, promenade performances; site specific work in unusual settings ; audience engagement, participation and co-creation; work on climate and environmental themes; rural and land-based performance.

I also undertake board development, mentoring and scenario planning consultancy work within the theatre sector.

I moved to Scotland in January 2021, having previously been based in the north of England.
