Simon is Artistic Director and Chief Executive of The Necessary space. www.thenecessaryspace.com. He is perhaps best known as one of the founding directors of the National Theatre of Scotland where, for 15 years, he pioneered the "Theatre Without Walls" approach across all of Scotland and created several large scale, site specific , immersive works and projects. Since leaving NTS his work with The Necessary Space continues to break new ground and reach across the globe. He is a director, producer, writer, facilitator, coach, mentor, keynote speaker, father, and most of all a voracious learner.
