I am a performer and a theatre maker. I have a considerable track record for the past 20 years as an actor in theatrical and film productions, site-specific and immersive performances, directing short films and modelling. I also gained substantial directing experience during my work in the Bilingual Education centre in Edinburgh as an Artistic Director of the Youth theatre with children 7+ years old. For the last eight years, the theatre has created a number of one-act productions and workshops for the community.
Recently, I suddenly rediscovered the importance of theatre for a young audience in my artistic practice. As a theatre maker and a mother, I believe it's very beneficial to introduce children to the theatre as early as possible. Creative play within an art experience helps children flourish as confident, resilient, and happy individuals and is vital for child development.
