| Following the Scottish Government’s draft budget announcement on 28 January 2021, Creative Scotland (CS) released a positive statement acknowledging that their budget, despite a small cut, remains broadly stable at £60million. They confirmed that this settlement allows them to honour previously announced commitments to 4th year funding for RFOs. CS also stressed that this settlement does not include any further COVID-19 emergency funds from The Scottish Government and that they continue to instigate discussions as regards further emergency support provision. The Creative Scotland Board meets on Wednesday 24 February to discuss and approve the allocation of this budget settlement. Further details of Creative Scotland’s funding plans will be made available after this and following the publication of the UK Government Budget on 3 March 2021. |
