Chris Grady

I describe myself as a Creative Producer, Hyphen and Coach. I teach/coach Creative Producing establishing the CGO Institute in April 2020 and running four Diploma courses on Zoom. In Nov 2023 I move to shorter courses again on Zoom (one month Essential Creative Producing). I offer mentorship and surgeries for theatremakers in any artform or discipline. My background is in marketing and general management previously working in Edinburgh 1984-87 (EIF, Traverse and mktg), 2000-02 (Pleasance Theatres GM), and 2007-09 (Musical Theatre at George Square creator) - and now here to stay as a Blackness theatremaker. I am working as a consultant for a network of Chinese producers, DaoStrategy, as well as Korean, Malaysian and Saudi Arabian producers to forge partnerships and present work in collaboration. I am on the Board of The Production Exchange, Stagescripts (UK), Broadway Education Alliance (US) and the Authentic Artist Collective CIC
