Robert Rae

I am a theatre director/writer, my career began with 7:84 Theatre Company (England) and after a number of freelance directing jobs became Artistic Director of Theatre Workshop Scotland. For the last seven years I have been working as a theatre director/writer as part of the peace process in Ireland. I am currently an embedded artist with Art27 Scotland, where for the last four years have been working as a writer/director in a socially engaged context. I have also be supported to develop an adaptation with music of a story about Irish migration - a story that is also part of my heritage and identity.
