FST is aware that Creative Scotland should not have informed applicants for Multi-Year Funding (MYF) of their decisions on Thursday 30 January, following the three-month delay announced in October 2024.
While the Scottish Government announced a greater level of funding than expected for MYF, it still falls short of the amount applied for by organisations. Unfortunately, this means some applicants will not receive the funding they applied for. We expect that organisations will receive feedback from Creative Scotland on their application which will help them understand how these decisions have been made.
Creative Scotland have a page on their website which outlines current information available about MYF Outcomes and Transitions, including contact details, if you have any further questions about the process.
This will be a period of change, and we want to act on behalf of our members and the wider sector, offering as much suitable support as possible in navigating the next steps for those affected.
We have prepared a series of resources outlined on this page.
We will update this page when decisions are communicated, with more resources and information as they are available, including information on FST’s outcome.
FST’s full statement on MYF Funding can be found here.
Complete the Survey
FST is carrying out a quick survey to help us understand where funding has been allocated and, ultimately, the impact on the sector. The survey will only ask about your MYF outcome and should take less than 5 minutes to complete. It is completely confidential within FST, and we will only share aggregate numbers or trends.
Attend a Meeting
FST will host two virtual meetings:
Taking the temperature: FST Members Check-in – 11am, Thursday, 6 February
While the agenda is open, with a focus on sharing between peers, we hope to be able to:
- Disseminate any information available from Creative Scotland, and what resources are currently available
- Gather perspectives from FST members following the recent decisions
- Discuss and identify any evolving issues or patterns from the overall decisions made
- Inform the next steps FST will take, for example, in providing support or undertaking campaigns
This meeting will be of particular interest to MYF applicants, but all FST members are welcome to attend, as part of their membership package and member benefits.
Once you have registered for the event, you will be sent a confirmation email with joining information.
