FST statement on Multi-Year Funding

Federation of Scottish Theatre (FST) is aware that a significant number of arts organisations in Scotland, including many of our members, have today received the long-awaited outcome of their Multi-Year Funding applications from Creative Scotland.

From the communications provided by Creative Scotland, we have some knowledge about those that have received positive news of their applications. We will need more time and information to understand the fuller picture and subsequent implications for the performing arts overall.

To keep us informed, we encourage FST members who applied to MYF, and any other applicants working in the performing arts, to complete our short, 5-minute survey. We appreciate this is a busy and challenging time for organisations as they work with Creative Scotland, their boards and staff teams. Any insights you can share at this time will be invaluable.

FST is grateful to be awarded £320k through the Multi-Year Fund. This will allow us to progress our mission advocating for, connecting across, and leading necessary change within the performing arts in Scotland. Like many of our colleagues, we will move quickly to work with our board and team to develop our future plans now that we have a considerable element of financial certainty for the next three years.

For information on how FST is working with our members and the sector following Multi-Year Funding outcomes, please visit the Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funding page on our website or contact CEO Fiona Sturgeon Shea at info@scottishtheatre.org.
