This course is designed to help maintain your Mental Health First Aid skills and knowledge. We will cover a number of areas, including common mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, suicide and self-harm), and your experience to date as a Mental Health First Aider.

Leading Organisational Wellbeing: A Strategic Vision
Training

This course is designed to provide Leaders with the tools to promote strong organisational wellbeing, enhance workplace relationships and create an overall healthier work culture. Sarah Shimmen (Work Better Wellbeing), an experienced Organisational Wellbeing Consultant and accredited Mental Health First Aid trainer will run this workshop, aimed at anyone who has a Senior Leadership role.

FST Bursary Clinic - September

The next bursary deadline is 27 September. The aim of this session is to answer any questions that you might have and share information and tips amongst each other. This session will be facilitated by the FST Professional Development Manager Fiona McCurdy. This session is aimed at anyone who intends to apply for the bursary, either as a host or bursary holder.

Health and Safety Forum

This Health and Safety forum is going to be focused on the inclusion of mental health/stress in risk assessments and there will also be plenty of time for networking, nibbles and drinks!

Fundamentals of Flying
Training

The Fundamentals of Flying Course is designed to teach the safe handling of counterweight sets and hemp. This is an in-person event at the Lyceum Theatre, as part of the FST Summer School Technical training week.

Working from Height using Temporary Access Equipment
Training

This is an in-person event at the Traverse Theatre, as part of the FST Summer School Technical training week for staff who use, supervise or manage the use of ladders and temporary access equipment.

Tallescope - Safe Use and Rescue
Training

Candidates will develop the skills and knowledge to assemble, perform pre-use checks on, and use Tallescopes safely. They will also gain an understanding of relevant legislation. Additionally, candidates will be given practical training on the Tallescope rescue equipment and its deployment in their specific venue. This covers and certificates the RB Tallescope Rescue pack. This is an in-person event at the Traverse, as part of the FST Summer School Technical training week.
